Building stronger workplaces and individuals through play and creative thinking.

What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is an interactive tool designed to help unlock possibilities, enhance innovation, business performance, team communication and collaboration through the Power of Play. Using 3D communication and problem-solving techniques, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® allows all participants (both introverts and extroverts) to have serious fun. This enables them to better visualise the situation, generate ideas, handle real problems, develop solutions through the collective ideas of the group and communicate freely by using their hands as much as their words. The process is based on the belief that everyone brings unique and valuable insights and as such can contribute to the discussion, the decisions and the outcome.

What a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshop looks like?

We get asked all the time to walk through what happens during a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshop. Check out the walk through here.

Innovation

Organisations have a natural rate of innovation that is determined by a number of factors. Whilst they will naturally innovate, they are often unaware of what this innovation is, who is doing it, how it is occurring and the effect on the organisation.

Throughout this workshop participants will learn how to strategically innovate using the magic of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.

Team Development

In a contemporary workplace people are collaborating more and more and what was once static teams within departments, they are now formed for different purposes. This can pose problems for organisations as they want to develop a team culture of engagement, mutual respect and trust however team membership can be transient.

In this workshop participants will explore the team’s relationships and connections between them and how they can work together to become a high-performing team.

Creative problem Solving Using Critical Thinking Skills

Workplace problems are complicated and there’s no right way to solve them. They can be disruptive to organisations and can cause harm in many different ways e.g. waste resources, cause low morale in teams, stop people from doing their jobs effectively, impact the customer experience negatively.  But the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method is the perfect tool to solve problems. Using 3D models to visualise the problem enables participants to use critical thinking skills to investigate, analyse and generate creative solutions.

“This program is one of a kind! Amongst all the training workshops that I have ever attended, this is probably the most interactive, playful and practical workshop. The LSP method can be applied in many different ways in various topics across industries and age groups. Sandra and Brian are well-versed trainers to lead me through the certification journey and there is a strong global facilitator network for on-going support. I’m glad that I joined it”

“This is an eye opening workshop! What I gained in this 4-day workshop is more than I expected. Not just on the facilitation skills to use LEGO as a tool in Learning & Development, but it also enriched my facilitation skills in other areas, e.g. questioning skill, listening skill. Facilitators and participants shared and learned from one another. I am more open minded to listen to others and respect others model of the world. The open area of my Johari Window expanded because I discovered I can be very creative too! I feel good and confident. Thank you Sandra and Brian!”
